Soon after the peony viewing period, the nearly 80,000 monthly roses in the Nanhaizi Park made their entrance onto the full-blossomed stage.

The city flower of Beijing, roses bloom from April to November every year.

Entering the Nanhaizi park from its east gate, you'll be overwhelmed by the fragrance of the roses. You might feel surrounded by the flowers and their charming scent.

According to Wang Qiang, director of the park, the Monthly Rose Garden of the Nanhaizi Park is divided into a citizen experience area and a big-flower-viewing area.

In the big-flower-viewing area, visitors are greeted by yellow and red flowers on all sides.. 

Among them, the curled yellow rose called "Yellow Peace" has a more "extraordinary" appearance and a relatively richer fragrance. And next to it is the well-known large-flowered rose variety-"Pink Fan". 

"Pink Fan" has pink blooms, with a high flower heart and curling, full petals, and it looks like a fan of a beauty from a distance. 

In addition to "Yellow Peace" and "Pink Fan", there are also monthly rose varieties with exotic names such as "Princess Kanter" and "Princess Moroccan" in the big-flower-viewing area. 

Looking around, different varieties of monthly rose flowers are planted in different flower ponds, and each flower pond is equipped with an introduction to its variety and ornamental features.

According to Wang, in Nanhaizi Park, which covers an area of 7,628 square meters, various types of monthly roses abound, such as large-flowered ones, micro ones, and florescent monthly ones; all 76,280 of them are on display, crowding the stage with 10 plants every square meter.
