It would be a shame not to see the 50,000 square meters of lotuses in Tongminghu Lake Park.

With layers of lotus leaves rising out of the lotus pond, and pink and white lotus flowers blooming one by one, this picturesque scene reveals itself.

Entering through the west gate of the park, you can walk down to the viewing platform of the water pavilion and witness the lotus leaves covering the lake like a huge green carpet.

Looking around, egrets dance lightly and mallards swim comfortably in the water, adding to the tranquility and charm of the lake.

In front of the viewing platform on the west side, you'll find the lotus named "Fairy Scattering Flowers" which are particularly eye-catching. 

It's a double-petaled lotus with pink flowers, the diameter of which can reach 14-18 cm.

When the flower opens, it looks like a slim fairy in a fluttering dress, with brightly flushed face. It is said that she runs away from the heavens for fun.

In addition to these, there are other water lilies of different colors which are also quietly lying on the surface of the lake, waiting for people to admire and praise them.

This year, Tongming Lake Park has cultivated a total of six different kinds of lotus, including not only the "Fairy Scattering Flowers", the "Snow White" and the "Green Hair Festival" which has tall double petals, but also red, white and yellow water lilies, as well as other ornamental species. 

These delicate and beautiful flowers span 54,172 square meters, perfuming the whole lake with their beautiful fragrance, and attracting hordes of tourists to indulge in it themselves.

As the temperature rises, various lotus flowers will continue to bloom along the banks of Tongming Lake.
