The application of funding for foreign talents who start businesses was launched on Oct 13. Details of the application are as follows.

From Oct 13 to Oct 31, 2021, applicants can enter the comprehensive service platform for policy redemption through the government redemption module on the official website of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA), or log in to the website zcdx.kfqgw.beijing.gov.cn. 

After registering and logging in, they can apply for project declaration. If the application is not submitted within the specified time, it will be deemed to have been abandoned automatically.

Declaration conditions

The applicant shall meet the following conditions at the same time:

• The enterprise shall register and pay taxes in accordance with the law within the scope of the BDA;

• Foreign talents (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) should have a master's degree or above, and enter the BDA for the first time after January 1, 2020, and start a business; and the proportion of individual shares in the business should be greater than or equal to 30%;

• The paid-in capital of the enterprise should be greater than or equal to $1 million.

Supporting content

Foreign talents who meet the above requirements can receive funding of 200,000 yuan ($31,260).
