As an enterprise in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA), the passive house dormitory of Building E in Oriental Yuhong Park has recently passed its Beijing Ultra-low Energy Building Demonstration Project review organized by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, establishing the BDA's benchmark for near-zero energy consumption projects.

The building is located in the Oriental Yuhong New Materials and Equipment R&D headquarters, with an above-ground construction area of approximately 12,100 square meters.

An oblique fa?ade was designed for the project, which not only enhances its visual appeal, but also enabled the building to provide shade, which is more conducive to achieving ultra-low energy consumption indicators. 

The building's lighting was designed with environmental factors in mind, so good lighting can be obtained in all directions. 

According to seasonal changes, all external window shading is automatically adjustable. 

The project uses airtight membranes, pre-compressed sealing tape, air-tight treatment coatings and other materials to help prepare door openings, window openings, electrical junction boxes, pipeline penetrations and other parts that are prone to air leaks. 

This aims to reduce the penetration of cold air in winter, the increase in cooling demand caused by air leaks in summer, and the impact of outdoor noise and air pollution on the indoor environment.

"The project has achieved an annual carbon dioxide emission reduction of 168 tons, effectively reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources such as coal and natural gas, and realizing the friendly symbiosis of people, buildings and the environment," remarked the relevant person in charge of Oriental Yuhong.
