At 5 am, a white hydrogen-powered refrigerated van departed from the Winter Olympics support base, went to the central kitchen to pick up meals, and completed the delivery of meals to six support points in the Beijing Division of the Winter Olympics before 7 am.

"We cooperated with Beijing Tongdefa Company to assist with logistics support for the 'Green Winter Olympics' with hydrogen cell commercial vehicles and provide green transportation services for some Winter Olympics staff, with three meals a day and other random meals. Four refrigerated trucks have been put into use," said Lv Wanyong, deputy general manager of Beijing Runwoda Technology Group Co., Ltd.

Runwoda Group has been working on new energy vehicle technology and products for many years. 

In 2007, it settled in the BDA. In 2008, it participated in the control of diesel vehicle exhaust emissions during the Beijing Summer Olympic Games, and then began to independently develop fuel cell catalysts. The group has independently developed the core technology for fuel combustion catalysts (FBC).

"The biggest feature of these four vehicles is environmental protection. The hydrogen fuel cell vehicle burns clean energy – hydrogen - and discharges water. It achieves zero emissions and zero pollution, which is in line with the Winter Olympics's green and efficient requirements for short-distance freight logistics," Lv added. 

The van only needs 3-5 minutes for hydrogen refueling. Its cruising range can reach 550 kilometers and its top speed can reach 90 kilometers per hour. After a whole day of operation, the support vehicle can run about 400 kilometers in total.
