Clarivate Analytics, the world's leading professional information service provider, recently announced its 2022 Global Top 100 Innovators list. BOE Technology from the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) was included in the list as one of five listed companies in mainland China.

"The companies selected for the 2022 Top 100 Global Innovators are examples of outstanding innovation and continuous creativity, providing new values and original technologies to the world," said Gordon Samson, chief product officer at Clarivate Analytics.

BOE's continuous creativity stems from persistence in independent research and development. 

In recent years, BOE has invested a high proportion of its operating income into research and development every year. 

As of 2021, BOE had accumulated more than 70,000 independent patent applications. Among the new annual patent applications, more than 90 percent are invention patents and 35 percent are overseas patents, of which patent applications in OLED, sensing, artificial intelligence, big data and other fields accounted for more than 50 percent, covering the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions. 

Since 2022, BOE's technological innovation strength has been repeatedly recognized by global authorities. 

In the 2021 annual statistical report released by patent service agency IFI Claims, BOE ranked 11th in the world in the US patent licensing list, and ranked among the global top 20 for four consecutive years.

In WIPO's 2021 patent application list, BOE ranks seventh in the world with 1,980 PCT patent applications, and has entered the top 10 global PCT patent applications for six consecutive years.
