'Robot + water management' empowers urban governance in E-Town

Updated: 2025-03-17

Beijing Digital Infrastructure Investment and Development, an enterprise in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), recently signed the Innovative Application Cooperation Agreement of "Robot + Water Management" with Beijing Water Resources Center, joining hands to create intelligent, safe and reliable benchmark applications for robots.

On the day of signing the contract, unmanned inspection vehicles, shuttle vehicles, cleaning vehicles and measurement boats were showcased at Tuancheng Lake.

Equipped with high-precision sensors and an AI visual system, the autonomous inspection vehicle monitors in real-time facility safety, identifies violations and simultaneously transmits data with intelligent fault warnings, significantly improving the efficiency of inspections

The vehicle also has LED screens and a broadcasting system that plays promotional videos of laws and regulations such as the Water Law and Flood Control Regulations, providing a mobile legal education platform.

The unmanned cleaning vehicle can autonomously clean the roads along Tuancheng Lake, utilizing environmental perception and path planning modules to avoid obstacles and operate autonomously in densely populated areas, covering an average area of 200,000 square meters per day, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of water facility operation and maintenance.

The unmanned measurement boat

The unmanned measurement boat is also capable of underwater, three-dimensional terrain mapping and has underground pipe inspection functions. It can accurately identify sedimentation areas to provide data support for river dredging, significantly reducing traditional manual survey safety risks.

Beijing Digital Infrastructure Investment and Development is engaging in in-depth discussions with various sectors, including the Beijing municipal water management system, landscaping and greening, ecological environment, urban management, traffic control, healthcare and education, to develop innovative pathways for intelligent governance in each field.
